Hi, I’m Sarina Dorie, a traditional and self-published fantasy and science fiction author. I also write mystery, romance and humor, and horror, and have sold over 200 short stories and 80 novels.
My most popular novels are from Womby’s School for Wayward Witches Series. In part, these books are inspired by my own personal teaching experiences: overcrowded classrooms, budget cuts, unrealistic administration, and plenty of awkward student drama.
Readers will also recognize my books are inspired Harry Potter, although I read these books when I was in college, and I daydreamed about being a teacher at a magical boarding school rather than being a student. I imagined what it would be like to teach at-risk magical youth and all the problems that might entail.
The Womby’s world exposes readers to what it is like teaching art in a public-school setting, but more than that, my goal is to create a fun, hex-positive cozy mystery for witch lovers everywhere.
