Can watercolor pencils be used as ordinary coloring pencils?
They are fine to use dry just as you would with coloring pencils. They are soft and blend and layer easily.
I’m doing pyrography, are these pencils suitable for applying color and can they be used directly onto canvas?
Yes – they are fine to use with pyrography and for using directly onto canvas.
With regards to the selection of pencils, is there any repetition across the 24 color set?
Though some colors sit closely together in spectrum, each color is unique throughout the 24 color set.
Do they feel soft in use or is there a ‘grittiness’?
Soft and blendable, these watercolor pencils are smooth in application.
What paper is best for using with these pencils?
As well as watercolor paper, high texture cartridge paper works very well. Other mediums such as acrylics, inks, pencils and watercolor paints can be combined also without the surface breaking down.
