This is the book you are looking for. We all want our friends to think we are cultured and smart, but it’s so hard to explore art and culture to be the first of your peer-group to discover the next masterpiece. You could spend subscription money on The New Yorker, or Poetry Magazine, but let’s be honest, you’re not going to read those. They look nice on your coffee table, sure, but what you really need is a foolproof, one-time purchase to prove to your friends that you appreciate the finer things in life. That’s where this book comes in. You don’t even have to read it. The title will earn you all the credibility you need.
If you do read it, however, you’ll find some of C. Alexander’s best work. These poems explore the existential nightmare that can be modern existence, and they explore it through satire, mythology, and good old fashioned cynicism. These poems are made for the twitter-generation, so don’t worry, none of them are that long. Notice I didn’t say the Tik-Tok generation; I don’t know what those people like.
The best part is: if you enjoy this book, each copy comes with a link for a free download of Alexander’s first book, The Cosmic Hello. It’s really two books for the price of one. So what do you have to lose? Okay, I guess a few bucks. What do you have to gain? The loving adoration of every person who sees you actively reading, or sees the implication that you might one day read this book.
