Kent de Poyer is part of the powerful Norman de Poyer family from Netherworld Castle. He was raised on the Welsh marches, a knight who has been at the forefront of Welsh rebellion against the English. Therefore, it\u2019s little wonder when his father sends word to recall Kent from London, temporarily, to help him tame a particularly vicious Welsh warlord and confiscate his castle, Penderyn.<\/p>\n

Madelaina Bryn is the daughter of the physic from the village of Penderyn. The mighty castle anchors her peaceful valley and when the English come, it\u2019s a valley of apprehension. The Welsh warlord has fled, helped by the villagers, and Kent summons the physic to assist with the wounded after the battle for the castle. Madelaina meets the dark-eyed, handsome English knight who seems rather soft-spoken for so terrible an enemy. And quite kind for a man she is supposed to fear.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, there\u2019s a Welsh warlord on the loose vowing revenge.<\/p>\n

And he\u2019s sweet on Madelaina.<\/p>\n

The Welsh marches are building up to an explosive battle between the Welsh and the English, but not for land or money. This battle takes flight from everything Kent\u2019s career has stood for, but will his Guard of Six brethren support his quest? Or will Kent be on his own as he battles for Madelaina\u2019s love?<\/p>\n
