Her father taught her the alphabet from a signwriters\u2019 book of lettering, and told her stories from memory; so passing on a love of storytelling. She has had many articles published, as well as short stories broadcast, but her first love has always been the historical novel. History has always been a passion with her \u2014 due, she says, to an incurable curiosity about the past.
